My main focus in community service was helping my community continue the practice of glass recycling. Climate Change is more prominent than ever and when the town of Alpharetta, GA discontinued collecting glass from homes for recycling, I decided to initiate my own project. This project was to continue the glass recycling in my community. I informed all the neighbours to save their glass waste and drop it off to the clubhouse every Wednesday. I would collect all the glass at the clubhouse I take it to the Alpharetta glass recycling center.
Additionally, I helped the neighbourhood community with painting the tennis stands, power washing the playground equipment and cleaning up debris (Park Glenn Community Work Day: June 2022). In the summer, I used my time to help with the Summer Camps at the Centennial Aviation Academy, Atlanta. During the summer camps I taught school students the basics of Boeing and Airbus aircrafts and differences between the two. Centennial Aviation Academy, Atlanta, Summer 2021, 2022.
Community Testimonials
City of Alpharetta discontinued recycling of glass a few months ago. This sudden change left residents scrambling. Unsure of options, I personally stopped recycling glass. Fortunately, an Alpharetta High School student in our neighborhood, Rohaan Aggarwal, started a neighborhood wide glass recycling campaign that he personally picks up and drops off at the recycling center. This has been a great help to the Park Glenn neighborhood and I commend the efforts of Rohaan in implementing this program. Thanks!

I am so grateful that Rohaan had the idea to recycle glass for our neighborhood! It is crazy to put glass into the landfill, because it will never decompose. Also, it can be ground into sand and used to make new glass products.
